There is so much wildlife around right now, especially moose. One morning there was a moose right outside of the chalet, and when we took a drive down the road a little way, we saw seven moose. We also saw another grizzly down the road, he was running across the road and into the trees. We think he is the same one we were seeing last summer, we recognized his light colored hair and dark paws. We nicknamed him Running Bear because he seems like he likes to run a lot. I hope we see him some more this summer too. We were hoping to see the mama black bear and her cubs, but we haven't yet.
The bridge workers are back and getting the bridge ready to be paved. The road is being worked on as well, so it will be ready for public travel. There has been several other workers in and out too, so it's a pretty busy place around here right now. It probably won't slow down either. The Caretaker position is sadly coming to an end and our summer jobs will soon start. This has been such a wonderful experience. We are sad that it is over so soon, but we won't be going far. We are looking forward to having another great summer in the park. We are thinking about doing a summer blog, if we do we will post a link to it on here. We are grateful to everyone who has enjoyed our blog and for all the wonderful comments. This unfortunately is our final post for our Winter at Many Glacier.
